Raj and Sudha, a loving couple, faced an unimaginable challenge when their daughter, Sri Ishwarya, was diagnosed with severe hearing impairment at an early age. Doctors informed them that the only way to restore her hearing was through a specialized operation. However, the cost ₹20 lakhs for just one ear was far beyond their means.
Determined to find a solution, the family explored every possible opportunity, but hope seemed distant—until they discovered Annapoornai Foundation. Within just two days of reaching out, the foundation stepped in and generously bore the entire cost of the operation.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Raj and Sudha could hardly believe how swiftly their prayers had been answered. The surgery was successful, and for the first time, Sri Ishwarya could hear the world around her—not just through lip-reading, but through actual sound. The joy of hearing her parents’ voices, the laughter of friends, and the melodies of life was an experience she never thought possible.
“I am so thankful and grateful to Annapoornai Foundation,” says Sri Ishwarya. “Because of this support, I can finally hear the world in its full beauty.”

At just 14 years old, Varun’s world should have been filled with schooldays, cricket matches, and joyful festivals. But instead, he was facing one of life’s most daunting challenges – an urgent open-heart surgery that his family simply couldn’t afford. His father, Mr. Mahesh Kumar, a devoted priest in Chennai, stood firmly by his son. Despite their limited income, he knocked on every possible door, seeking help, hope, and a miracle.
The surgery was scheduled for September 16th. As the days got closer, so did Diwali – a festival that lit up Varun’s eyes every year. His parents hoped, prayed, and held on to the belief that this year too, their little boy would be able to celebrate like the other children – bursting crackers, laughing with cousins, and running through the lights. Diwali meant everything to Varun. And for a while, they feared it might pass him by from a hospital bed.
Thanks to a successful heart surgery, Varun was not only home – he was whole. On November 4th, 2021, surrounded by his family and the glow of diyas, he celebrated Diwali the way he’d always dreamed. But sometimes, the universe answers in sparkles. our foundation stepped in to help fund the ₹4.25 lakh surgery. It was a gift of health.
Today, Varun’s story is a glowing reminder of the light we can bring into someone’s life—even in the darkest of moments.

Anita and Rajesh’s lives changed in an instant when their 15-year-old son suddenly collapsed while playing with his friends. What seemed like a small accident turned into a nightmare when doctors found a severe blood clot in his brain.
The diagnosis was devastating—he had both sickle cell disease and Moyamoya disease, two rare conditions that could lead to repeated strokes and, eventually, death if untreated. The only hope was urgent brain surgery, but the cost ₹9 lakhs ($11,000) was far beyond what the family could afford.
His younger sister, too young to understand the seriousness, kept asking the same heartbreaking question: “When will he get better?”
Determined to save him, Anita and Rajesh did everything they could. They sold their jewelry, used all their savings, and borrowed money, managing to collect ₹5 lakhs. But it wasn’t enough. With Rajesh working as a tailor and Anita as a domestic help, they had no way to raise the remaining amount.
Just when they thought all hope was lost, Annapoornai Foundation stepped in. Without hesitation, the foundation covered the full cost of the surgery, giving the family the miracle they had prayed for.
